This novel by Suddhabrata Deb Roy is a lucid description of a small town middle class society, a middle class boy and his ups and downs in life. This is a book to which more or less all small town teens can relate to. I myself can relate few incidents of my life to this book, the matric exam environment, the typical tuition centres, i could relive my teenage while going though the pages of this book.
